  • Provincial corporate registration (or sole-proprietor registration)
  • College independent-practice / clinic roster as required in that province
  • Professional liability insurance meeting college minima
  • Municipal business licence and occupancy
  • Privacy (PIPEDA / provincial health-privacy) policies
  • GST/HST accounts if you exceed the threshold
Facility & equipment requirements
  • Ontario, B.C. and Alberta colleges each have their own clinic-roster or premises expectations — do not copy another province’s file.
Staff licensing
  • Every treating PT must hold a practising certificate in that province; assistants practise under the college’s supervision rules.
